NOS5 Dynamic Thermal Modelling for Complex Part L and Commercial EPC applications.
ENERGY BUILDING LTD have been approved by IES and CIBSE as Level 5 Accredited Part L and Level 5 Commercial EPC Assessors. What does this mean exactly?
Dynamic Simulation Modelling is a licensed software skillset used to model the energy performance of the largest and most complex commercial buildings - identified from specific features such as atriums, automatic blind control and passive ventilation with enhanced thermal coupling (typically night-cooling). Buildings such as these require the highest level of accredited analysis - Level 5.
Typical level 5 buildings might include airport terminals, shopping centres or skyscrapers, or even small modular classrooms or offices which use night-time ventilation as a passive strategy. If you are unsure if your building qualifies as a Level 5 building just get in touch and we can guide you through the process and establish a brief.

Alongside exciting city centre commercial projects including an upcoming refurbishment project with a vast south-east elevation of solar glazing, a new college created from a remodelled fire station, zero carbon warehouses and offices, we are very proud to have been appointed to work alongside our public partners, forging ahead with a far-reaching lighting re-design scheme which will see much of the public property portfolio converted to 100% LED technology - saving many thousands of pounds in running costs and shaving tons of CO2 emissions off the Civic Carbon Footprint!

RIBA AWARDS
In 2009 Energy Building Ltd (Engineer and founder, Paul Stephenson) received a citation from RIBA Awards as the Building Services Engineers on an ambitious and truly ground-breaking project for its time - the SANSAW BUSINESS CENTRE in the heart of a walled garden in Shropshire.
This prestigious, historically sensitive redevelopment, features true night-time passive-stack cooling ( coupled to exposed thermal mass ), external shading, ground source heating and many more elements of sustainable office design which very much set the standard for commercial property design at the time - and still yet to be surpassed in many aspects despite the years which have passed since its completion. We were and continue to be extremely proud of our involvement in this stunning achievement by all involved.
